Let’s get started! The first thing that you are going to want to do is find a program to promote. (If you have not joined an Affiliate Marketing site then I suggest you to do it now). The program you are looking for is a PPL (Pay-Per Lead) one that offers free products.

The one I use currently is a ‘free’ Apple iPhone and all it requires is for the User to fill in a few details like their name, address and gender. After they have filled in these Details then I receive $1.50.

This is just an example of something you should go for a simple one page sign-up.

You may be thinking that $1.50 is low and yes it is, but I chose this program for a purpose. I was aiming it at a particular audience. Once you have read further you will see my logic and use it or choose an even higher paying PPL program and promote it using the same technique. You will understand this better once you read my little secret.

So you now have chosen your PPL program. What’s the next step?

It’s easy, all you have to do Is purchase a domain and get some hosting (Free hosting will do as long as you have access via FTP).

As I have chosen a product relating to the iPhone then I should have something related to it or perhaps with the word freebie in it. If you are promoting an iPhone then perhaps you could have a domain such as iPhone4free.net (Taken of course but use your imagination). You don’t need to stick to the product you are promoting as well. You could go for a more general term such as Freebeeez.com, Freebies4u.net, something along those lines.

Once you have decided on the domain = Hosting you are going to want to find the Affiliate program code. Once you have this then simply create a simple redirect with your affiliate program. See example below… Note Use Greater than and Less than characters in place of double parenthesis...

Paste and edit the http address to your website in notepad or other text editor and save as iPhone.html or something else short and appropriate. You will see that I have placed http://www.google.com/ there, all you have to do is simply delete the google.com and paste your affiliate link.

After this is complete simply upload iphone.html to your hosting account (Connected to your domain of course). Once complete then if you type in your domain it will automatically redirect you to the affiliate program.

Promoting–My little secret:

You should now have your site set up with your chosen affiliate program. Next you’ll need to generate LEADS!

This is my little secret that works like a charm every time. Most Affiliate Marketers are always thinking of ways to get people to view their programs to generate sales/leads but it’s not always easy. Unless you have a high traffic site or are really experienced in the field you will most likely have little success and that’s the truth. It is very competitive and hard to get any thing decent in the long run.

What I do for leads is as easy as making a cup of tea and you will be astonished at how well it works.

My Secret… drum roll please…

You are going to go to the people. Now hold on a second, there is a little more to it than that. In my case I was advertising an iPod and am currently in the process of doing iPhones. Now let’s just take a look at the iPod for a second. Who is it aimed at? You will undoubtedly say that it’s for the younger market. Teens and young adults, those who are ‘tech-savvy’. Now where can you contact these people directly? Facebook? Myspace? Please, that’s just ridiculous. Maybe a few years back that was the place but times have changed. The problem with the Internet is most people will dismiss ‘Free’ products as spam or just another scam site.

So where can you promote? What do I do?

As some of you may know I am a web-designer and I also do some Affiliate Marketing so what I did was create a small leaflet.

On the leaflet it said:

‘Get a FREE iPod. Visit now www.***********.com’

I put some snazzy graphics around it with an image of an iPod. Where to promote? Remember where I said that I needed to go where the products target audience was? Well I went outside a High school, four of them in fact simply Because this worked so well. I stood outside of the High school with my leaflets in my hand just handing them to kids, and lets face it, we all know how gullible 13-17 year old kids are. As I said, I eventually did this to 4 schools in the area. I got my brothers and cousins to help out just handing out these leaflets to school kids. I did it to each school two Or three times depending on how many entrances/exits there were to really get as many people as possible to sign up.

So how well did it work?

Well as I said I did 4 schools, one of which is the second largest in my area. I managed to hand out about 7200 leaflets with some help and the return was nothing short of amazing. Out of those 7200 I had a huge wave of traffic and approx 3120 people signed up making it almost $5000 of revenue and how much did I work for it?

Well I made the leaflet in about 20 minutes. Printed them (You need quite a bit of paper and ink, if you do it yourself) or go to the local print shop and have your original copied. Actually handing the leaflets out was very easy and quick. It took about 40 minutes per school. Again I went back to some schools 2 or 3 times depending on the size etc.

What next?

Well you literally wait and watch the money roll in.

Is that it - pretty much and of course there are always variations to this method. So always remember to go to where people are. For example if you are promoting some Gym related product or even a protein shake or something then maybe spend the day at a Gym and place a bunch of leaflets on their counter. The best thing about it is that it won’t get saturated. There are thousands of schools just waiting for you, thousands of Gyms, thousands of people! Heck you could even post some leaflets around your local area. So do whatever you want!

Conclusion:

The fact of the matter is that not many people are taking advantage of this -- it’s untapped potential and now you know it. I am being really serious when I say that You MUST try this IT actually works and you know you are reaching people, it’s not junk traffic.

This is just one of the techniques I have used and I personally feel people should know about it. Yes it’s simple and it does work!
